Druk Air, the national airline, launched yesterday an internet-based reservation system that will allow booking of Druk Air tickets online.

Druk Air announces that in order to accommodate all wait-listed passengers on in-coming flight on 29 September 2008 for the Delhi – Kathmandu – Paro sector, they would like to split the flight into Delhi – Paro, and Kathmandu – Paro.

ABTO Announcement:

This is to inform you that as an outcome of the ABTO and Druk Air meeting held on 22 August 2008, the following flights will be split and once the changes have been made in the reservation system, Druk Air will notify ABTO on the schedule and onset/acceptance of reservation. Tour operators will be informed accordingly.

Druk Air Reservations Closed Temporarily

August 25, 2008

Druk Air is not able to accept the reservation today for additional / split flight for October/November as Druk Air is still busy inserting the flight information in the system. As such Druk Air has requested all tour operators to kindly cooperate for the same. The system will be ready to accept the reservation by Tuesday, 26th August 2008 for additional/split flight for October and November. This update comes from ABTO.

Select Druk Air Flights Suspended

Druk Air regrets to inform the general public that due to increase in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and Druk Air having diffiulty to meet its operating costs will, the following flights will be suspended with effect from 1 July 2008 to 30 Sept 2008.
