Druk Air Update

ABTO Announcement:

This is to inform you that as an outcome of the ABTO and Druk Air meeting held on 22 August 2008, the following flights will be split and once the changes have been made in the reservation system, Druk Air will notify ABTO on the schedule and onset/acceptance of reservation. Tour operators will be informed accordingly.

  1. KB121/120 on 9, 17 & 24 October 2008. (Split)
  2. KB202/203 on 19 November 2008.(Split)
  3. KB205 on 3 & 10 November 2008.(Split)
  4. 1 November, additional flight for PBH – CCU – PBH

Druk Air was unable to split flight KB121/120 of 7 & 14 October as they have a large number of passengers already confirmed and ticketed for the fifth freedom sector i.e. BKK-CCU and CCU-BKK. However, Druk Air will insert an additional flight either to Bangkok or Kolkata for the 7 and 14 of October if required, with a condition to commit 50% load for the additional flights requested from ABTO.

Therefore, we (ABTO) would like to request if tour operators could kindly cross check your list of waitlisted passengers with the list attached and if possible try to merge the waitlisted passengers (for BKK/CCU-PBH or PBH-CCU/BKK) of 6 and 8 October with 7 October. Similarly you could also merge if possible the passengers of 13 and 15 October with 14 October for the said sector and communicate to the ABTO Secretariat latest by Friday, 29 August before 4:00 PM,  inorder to put up the list to the Airline and Reservation Committee (ARC) for further discussion.

Also, we (ABTO) would like to request those tour operators, who have waitlisted passengers but not listed in the waitlisted list to be provided to the ABTO Secretariat at the earliest possible so that the ARC will explore the possibility of inserting more flights.
