ABTO together with SNV – Bhutan: Dutch development organisation will be organizing ”Leading for Change” training programme exclusively for 35 interetsed tour operators.
Do you have what it takes to be a dynamic leader in these increasingly exciting times? If you think you do, but would like to explore your leadership qualities, then look no further!
Based on worldwide experiences, ABTO is proposing to bring to you a Leading for Change training programme. This training is unlike any other training because it focuses on your personal qualities and values, and then translating that into action in your organization, so that you are more productive, more efficient, thus making you and your team happier. Ultimately, this means your clients are happier too, and there is nothing like a lasting good impression to get the tourists back for a next visit to Bhutan.
What is the Leading for Change training program about?
This programme uses personal leadership as the foundation – it makes you reflect on who you are, and what your personality is, and how that understanding can help you to run your organisation more effectively.
The programme will also address establishing a Code of Conduct for the tourism sector in Bhutan; through your participation in the programme, you will be able to contribute to the formulation of the Code.
Format of the training program
The Leading for Change training programme is a 5 day event, from Monday July 21 to Friday July 25, 2008, in Paro at Rinchen Ling Lodge. The lead facilitator for this programme will be Mr. Dirk Marais, who is an expert on leadership from South Africa. It will be co-facilitated by Ms. Anne-Marie Schreven, from SNV Bhutan, and Ms. Phutnshok T. Choden, from Euthpal.
The program is heavily subsidized, and you will only be expected to pay a one-time token fee of Nu. 500, which covers the 5 day training program, workshop materials, food, and accommodation at the Rinchen Ling Lodge in Paro.
If you are interested to participate in this program, please contact the ABTO Secretariat.
