Traffic closed – Dry run for the coronation

This is to inform all that as per the RSTA notification # RSTA/AF-11/2008-2009/389 dated 22 October 2008, the second dry run of the Public Transport Arrangement in Thimphu will be held on 26 October 2008 (Sunday). Therefore, no vehicles will be allowed to ply on Norzin Lam (Main traffic road), Chang Lam (Road below Wangchuk Hotel) and Doebum Lam (Swimming pool road).

However, ABTO has made an arrangement with RSTA and Thimphu Traffic Police to allow tourists vehicles to drop and pick up tourists from their respective hotels on 26th October 2008. All vehicles on tourists duty in Thimphu on 26th October 2008 should be in possession of a copy of tourist visa and itinerary as identification and show it to RSTA officials or traffic police as and when they demand.
